Pet-Friendly Places to Visit in New Orleans
Life is better when your dog is by your side, so why not check out some of these pet-friendly spots this holiday season? We have compiled a list of some of our favorite spots that you and your furry best friend will enjoy!
- Coffee: Cafe Envie Espresso Bar & Cafe is a great place to stop for a quick cup of coffee and they offer a variety of treats as well! Bring your pup with you while you study, meet up with a friend, or just need some extra energy for your day.
- Restaurant: One of our favorite restaurant spots is The Crown and Anchor. Enjoy pub style food inside or out with your pup! Whether you are meeting with friends, having a lunch date, or on your way to the dog park, this is the perfect stop to make that your dog will absolutely enjoy.
- Off-Leash Park: If you’re looking for a space to let your dog off-leash to stretch his legs, you should definitely stop by the NOLA City Bark Dog Park. Your dog can run and play with other dogs, lay out and soak up some warm fall sunshine, or just explore new smells. Whether or not you have your own backyard, a stop at an off-leash park is great for socialization.
- Hike: If you want to go for a walk and enjoy all that nature has to offer, we recommend going to the Bayou Sauvage Ridge Trail. This trail offers a fantastic boardwalk where you will be sure to spot some local birds, fish, turtles, and more!
- Bar: The Rusty Nail is the perfect spot if you want to grab a beer with friends and enjoy the beautiful autumn weather. They have one of the largest outdoor spaces in the New Orleans area, they have a variety of craft beer and other drink specials. This is the perfect place to go when you want to get out of the house, without having to leave your pup behind!
- Pet Shop: Are you needing to buy your pup some new toys or treats? Stop by Southern Paws to find just the right thing! Southern Paws offers a variety of dog necessities such as leashes, collars, toys, food, and treats. Bring your pup and let them pick out their favorites, and you might even find something for yourself!
